A FOCUS ON IMPROVING PRIMARY HEALTH AND DENTAL CARE.
Refuge International began serving in Santo Tomás Milpas Altas in September 2025, expanding our outreach to provide primary care and dental clinics for families who otherwise have limited access to healthcare. During our mission weeks, volunteers offer medical consultations, dental treatments, medications, and preventive health education—all delivered with compassion and respect.
While surgical procedures are not performed on-site, patients requiring surgery are referred to Refuge International’s surgical center in San Raymundo or other appropriate facilities within Guatemala. This collaborative approach ensures each patient receives the specialized care they need while maintaining continuity within the Refuge network.
Through partnership, trust, and dedicated service, Refuge International is honored to support the people of Santo Tomás Milpas Altas—working together to improve access to care, promote wellness, and build a healthier future for the entire community.
