You don’t need a passport or a plane ticket to make a difference in the lives of others.

Refuge International has plenty of ways you can do your part right here in Longview, whether you’d like to help at our homeless shelter clinic or provide some vital service hours at our warehouse helping sort, store or pack all the supplies we use on our medical mission trips. If you’ve got the time, we can always use your help!

Hiway 80 Rescue Mission Clinic

Refuge International Warehouse

Every day, millions of dollars worth of used, but viable, medical equipment goes to waste in our landfills when it could be used in hospitals and clinics in developing countries. To date, Refuge International has redistributed over $2 million worth of equipment to Guatemala and Kenya, with the help of our partners at Vine International and Orphan Grain Train.

But this is not done without a significant amount of labor on the part of local volunteers. All donated supplies and equipment must be counted, boxed or crated, put on lists and prepared for shipment. This takes hours and hours of hard but rewarding work on our part and we can certainly use your help.

Are you handy with a hammer and nails?
Are you an organizational expert?
We want YOU!

Here are just some of the ways you could pitch in and help at the Refuge International warehouse in Longview, Texas.

Crate Construction

We have multiple items that must be safely crated before shipping to Guatemala.

Sorting Supplies

If you are part of, or know of, a group or organization looking for a service project, why not book a date to come and work in the warehouse? Perhaps your youth or singles group is looking for a service project for an afternoon or evening. The work isn’t difficult but can be time consuming and as the saying goes, “Many hands make light work!”

Supply and Equipment Pickup

If you will be driving to locations throughout the United States, please let us know as there are always donated supplies or equipment to be picked up somewhere. Here in Longview, we often receive notices about various medications and supplies as donations and simply need help with pick-up and drop-off at the warehouse.

Contact us if you’re ready to pitch in and help (and why not bring a couple of friends with you!)
