Research Opportunities

Opportunities to create and build on evidence-based health care in an international setting

Are you interested in studying the prevalence of malaria or intestinal worms in underserved communities in Guatemala? Perhaps you have a hypothesis that teaching Mayan midwives about post-partum hemorrhage will reduce maternal mortality. If you have a project in mind that fits our overall mission, Refuge International might be able to help.

We support individual investigators who wish to study international health and health care.

Refuge International hopes to make a difference through collaborative and sustainable programs in whatever areas of the world there is a need. Our projects are focused primarily on basic healthcare, adequate nutrition, clean water and education.

Refuge International is a non-profit organization that exists due to the generosity of donors.  We cannot grant money to investigators, but we have other resources which would make research in Guatemala possible.

For more information on how you can work together with Refuge International to perform research in Guatemala, please contact Katheryn Courville.
